See what Carter Lab members have been up to lately :-)

Welcome! The Carter Lab studies the impact of genetic and environmental factors on neurodevelopment. We use zebrafish as a model system to explore how changes at the molecular scale alter brain formation and function in a living organism.
Our lab is a talented team of undergraduates who conduct all aspects of our research, including experimental design, data collection and analysis, and communication of our findings through conference presentations and publications. As a lab community, we are committed to supporting undergraduate development and having high standards and goals for each individual student. We strive to provide an environment full of opportunity and encouragement for personal growth and scientific excellence. Our members apply their training to pursue a diversity of careers in research, healthcare, and beyond. I am currently an assistant professor of biology at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire (UWEC) - go Blugolds! |
